FilmL.A. coordinates and processes permits for on-location motion picture, television and commercial production under contract to the City of Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, and the cities of Diamond Bar, La Habra Heights, Lancaster, Palmdale, South Gate, The City of Industry and the City of Vernon. Non-municipal clients include the Angeles National Forest, the Los Angeles Unified School District, Burbank Unified School District, Glendale Unified School District, La Cañada Unified School District, Lawndale Elementary School District, Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District and the San Gabriel Unified School District.

Services

Permit Coordination
For 16 years, FilmL.A. has provided expert, centralized coordination of multi-jurisdictional on-
location filming permits.

Production Planning
FilmL.A.’s Production Planning Department offers location intelligence to help filmmakers avoid
costly neighborhood conflicts.

Property Management
FilmL.A. can arrange scouting and broker location use agreements for filming or parking at area
school properties (see above), and in most
areas can also coordinate all required film
permits.

Community Relations
FilmL.A. notifies communities in advance of upcoming filming to keep local residents and
businesses informed about production.
FilmL.A. Monitors work in filming-sensitive
areas to help manage community questions
and concerns.
